This is digital marketing tool talk, never miss out or fall behind on the latest digital tools for social media, SEO, content reviews, and the entire digital marketing space. I'm your host, Brandon Hughes. All right, thanks for tuning into episode one. I'm super excited to get this started. I just want to be sharing with you different digital tools and the little uh, uh, tips and tricks and little ad-ons and extensions that you guys can be using out there. I use them all the time in my business. I know you guys all have your, your little things that just help make your everyday life a little bit easier, allow you to click through or share or audits or just take a look at some statistics, a lot easier than having to dig into some of these forms. There's so many things out there to make our life easier and that's why I'm doing this podcast. So today I wanted to share with you one that I've been using for quite a while. And I know some of you out there have also been using it. It's called I F T T t.com. Yes, that's three T's I F T T t.com and it stands for if this, then that.com but they use the initials. Thankfully I've been using this for several years. It's real easy to use. It's free. It's always been free for as long as I can remember until I really dug into it for this podcast. Uh, I didn't know there's actually a business section, so if you want to develop your own little applets, which are these things that allow you to connect functions. If something happens and something else gets triggered, you can pay for that. But almost everything that you would ever use is free and it's quite amazing. Just just think of that one little step that you wish you could do with social media, with your WordPress website or an RSS feed and automate it and just be like, okay, if this happens, this automatically happens. That that's in essence what IFT T T does in a whole, a bunch of different platforms that it connects with. So you can do it on web, on your a desktop browser. I mean, or you can also do it on mobile. I've done it on both Dan. I've fiddled with them on both platforms. It's really user friendly. The UI, UX guys are great. Who are whoever's designing this, it's just an easy to use. It's free. They've never spammed me. They've never tried to like upgrade me or try to make me buy anything at all. It's just kinda out there. It's, it's, it's quite amazing how they've been able to stay in business. I really appreciate what they've done and I really enjoy um, uh, this, this little tool that I've used over the years. So I'm going to go through a couple of different sections of the IFT T t.com and just kind of share with you some of the most popular ones and see if that kind of connects with you. Maybe it might be something you want to use, but I really recommend you go ahead and visit the cause. I'm only gonna share a couple from each section, not, not all of them. There's a whole bunch. So you just scroll through there. You might see a connection that does something that you never thought you needed to do, but you're like, well, if it's going to be this easy, maybe, maybe I should. So the first section I want to look at is, is Instagram connecting with Instagram? So there is these applets, there's these things you can, you plug in your Instagram account and you and you get it connected and then you say, I want this to happen. So here's the most popular one. There's 718,000 people who've downloaded this little applet on IFT t.com and it's called tweet your Instagrams as native photos on Twitter. It's simple. It's real simple. Now, there's probably a lot of you right now I use Hootsuite, I use buffer. You know, I use these programs and I only post natively and I craft every post and I spend 30 minutes thinking about it. Hey, good for you. You're knocking it out of the park. But for those of you out there who are like, yeah, you know, I really should be sharing my Instagram's on Twitter, but I never have enough time. It's always so difficult out, yada. I get it, and that's where this comes in. You set this up once, you post her Instagram and it automatically gets tweeted out to your Twitter account every single time so that that's what it does. Here's another one. 45,000 people have downloaded this one. Uh, this will automatically upload your Instagrams to a Facebook page album. No, Instagram is big with the photos. Facebook's more, you know, updates, post status, all these other things. So yeah, you could create a nice Facebook page album. All your photos go directly in there. You can use them again, share them however you want to do it, but it just happens automatically. There's some others in here. Post your Instagram photos to Tumblr. This is one that I'm looking at ever since, as I was going through doing this podcast, kind of looking at everything, I was like, I don't have a Tumblr account. I don't want one. I'm not going to take the time, but I'm already posting to Instagram. Why can't I just automatically send that out to tumbler? If I didn't get any traffic from it or nothing happens. As long as it's not negative, then it's not going to take any time and it's going to happen automatically. Uh, are you on flicker post your Instagram photos to flicker? There's almost 50,000 people who've downloaded this one. He posts to Instagram automatically goes to your flicker account. So that's kind of hope that kind of gives you an idea of what I have. ttt.com does. Definitely check it out. I'm here. Let's talk about the Twitter section. Um, here are some, here's the most popular one for Twitter. It's automatically change your Twitter profile pic when you update your Facebook photo. I, you know, I dunno, I guess that's a thing. 183,000 people have this applet. I hardly changed my, my up, my profile pic, but you know, as I'm saying this and I think about it, I'm like, yeah, you know, my Facebook feed, I'm always saying people updating their profile pics. So this is for you. If that's one of you, I'll there listening. Um, yeah. Download this one and it'll automatically do it. Here's another one that I don't know why you would use it. Keep a simple spreadsheet of every tweet you post. Now if somebody out there is listening knows exactly why you'd want to use this, please leave a comment or contact me. Let me know. I'd love to know. I think it'd be interesting. 45,000 people have downloaded this and are using it right now. So it's kinda interesting. Um, there's a bunch more, uh, for Twitter in here. So Instagram, Twitter, uh, here's another one that deals mainly with your email. So if you want to get email updates, uh, you can get all kinds of stuff in here. Um, but here's an interesting one. And this one, I kinda like get an email when there's a new tweet from a specific username. So if you're following somebody on Twitter and you don't want to always have to go into your Twitter account and look and see what they're posting or checking your updates and you want to peel that off and get a whole separate email specifically for that username, then this is the outlet that you'd want to connect on. And I think it's great. I mean if you're following a whole bunch of people, but there's maybe one, two or three where you're hanging on every tweet they ever post out. This is something, it's free, it's free. Um, so that's a great one. There's another one in here. Oh, get alerts when your company or name is mentioned on Reddit, that that could be potentially very powerful. If you're trying to build a brand, you want to know what people are saying, what they're doing. And again, I know there are other platforms out there that do this. They can monitor Twitter, they can monitor different social platforms and track mentions and when your name is posted. But Hey, if you're not using that and you just want something for free, you can come here and hooked that applet up and use that a, the big one, of course, obviously it's Facebook. Um, automatically share new posts to a Facebook page. Uh, if you're on WordPress. So if you're blogging and, um, you know that you're supposed to be sharing your blog posts on Facebook, getting your content out there, but you never get around to it, you just don't have the time. I totally get it. I know all the pros out there that talk about content creation, et cetera, et cetera, will tell you, you absolutely have to be doing it. But if you just don't, Hey, uh, you're not alone. 35,000 people are using this so that when you post to WordPress, it automatically goes to your Facebook page. Uh, how about automatic upload your Instagrams, uh, to a Facebook page? Albin? I think I went over that one. Um, automatically share your new videos to a Facebook page. So if you're posting on YouTube, when that video goes up, boom, it'll automatically go out to your Facebook page. Also. Um, you can share these videos to a Facebook page and Twitter. You can post RSS feed items, uh, to Facebook. There's all kinds of connections that you can make. And I'm going over about two or three of them. There's probably about, um, I would say 20 to 30 in each section here. So there are a lot that I did not go over. So if you're a developer or you're a business and you want to do something more elaborate, more detailed, you want to make your own applet, you can do that. They have a platform in here. You can go in. I hope you guys like this tool. Try it out. If you're already using it, please let me know. What do you use it for? What's your favorite applet? What do you think works? What doesn't work? What do you hate about it? What do you love it? Love about it. Uh, I would like to know I've been using this one for years. It's always seems to work. It's pretty steady and it's free. Thank you for listening today. All the websites and information I mentioned are in the show notes@digitalmarketingtooltalk.com next episode I'm going to talk about a Chrome extension that will help grow your Facebook followers and it's free.
