Incompetech Royalty Free Music For Everyone

There are a lot of sites offering royalty free music online but the quality varies and some of them all sound the same.

I was referred to this site, Incompetech https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/genres/. by Jane from Friday Five Podcast, you can find them here http://fridayfivepodcast.com/.

I was quite impressed with the quality of music as well as the quantity. In this episode I highlight several songs that I found interesting and possibly usable for marketing.

Using quality music for your podcast, commercial, video, youtube channel, or any other marketing medium is important.

Take a look at all the options, Im sure you will find several that are interesting.

This is digital marketing tool talk, never miss out or fall behind on the latest digital tools for social media, SEO content reviews, and the entire digital marketing space. I'm your host, Brandon Hughes. Hello Glenn, everyone. Today I want to talk about a website that delivers some really top shelf royalty free music. This is really quality stuff. It was referred to me by Jane from the Friday five podcast and you can find them@thefridayfivepodcasts.com two amazing ladies who put together these great top five lists and talk about all kinds of things. So she recommended this website. It's called in comp tech.film music.io. It's a long one. It'll be in the, in the show notes. You can click down there, but they have some amazing things and we're going to do something a little bit different with this show. Instead of listening to me talk most of the time, I'm just going to share with you a whole bunch of amazing clips that are really showcase some of the quality royalty free music you can get there. This track right here is called sneaky snitch. That's S. N. I, T, C, H. I think it's a really cool little classical track perfectly. If you were doing like a, a mystery or a follow along, either a video or maybe a podcast yourself just a great little underlay and it's just crafted really well to just kind of play along in the background. Nice crisp sound. I think it's a great one.

Speaker 1:

Wanna kick it up a notch. Here's a track with a little Latin inspired beat. Definitely high intensity, high energy, something that would be just a really good intro. Really capture everyone's attention or maybe you're just doing a video that you want positive energy or something to really reach out and grab people. This might be the truck for you if you're looking for something with that high energy, but maybe you want a little bit more funk or jazz. These are tunes that I really dig and you'll usually find these in backgrounds or stuff that I produce. Here's a track called your call and you can find this in the funk and jazz. What'd you go ahead and turn your base on for the next one? Yeah, he's got a whole section with hip hop rap. So if you really want to drop some heavy beats or some heavy bass, it's got a whole section on the website that you can peruse.

Speaker 1:

This next track coming up is Hitman. You can find it in the cinematic section on the website. It's one of my favorite. I'm going to go ahead and play it and then it's going to drop down. I'm going to use it as a background for the rest of the podcast.

Speaker 1:

So those are just a couple of tracks. I thought it would be interesting to share with you, but I do want to let you know that if you go to the website, there are so many more. I only highlighted a couple, and as you know in this podcast, they usually just kind of lead you toward the tool and if it sparks an interest, I do encourage you to go to the website or go to the platform and dig down a little bit more into it. There's usually so much more there. This music that I showcased here on the podcast, it's all the creative comments. It's free and it's royalty-free. The only thing you have to do is you have to make attribution to the artists or the platform where you're, you're getting the music from. What's really nice, what they, what they do really well on this website is when you go to download it, a little screen pops up and it has it nice and neat there for you.

Speaker 1:

And it just says, please include this as your attribution for the music. So it's perfect. You know exactly what you need to put in there. The links are right there. If you go into my show notes, you'll find all of them in there as you should do as well. If you want to go beyond and you want to actually get a license for the song, he does have a paid version on the website. Right now it's showing 20 euros. I don't know what that is and in us dollars, but 20 euros a once per song. Now when you purchase the song, then you no longer have to do the attribution. However, if you're going to be doing other things with the music, like maybe making video games with it or you're going to use it for other types of things, you'd definitely want to take a look at the FAQ and just make sure you're following the rules when people are putting out this content for us.

Speaker 1:

I think we should all just go the extra mile and make sure we follow those rules so that these people can continue to make these things and offer a free level option so that we can use it and we can make all of our marketing material a little bit more interesting. And music definitely does that. You do get a chance, go to the genre section and you'll see a cinematic electronica piano. There's a horror section classical. If you want to do like silent films, you want to go overseas, they have African music, they have special effects, sounds, radio, drama, blues, disco, Latin and on and on and on. There are so many genres and he has hundreds of songs per section. There are literally hundreds of them. So he used, you know, curl up on the couch and you can just sit there and go through the songs one after another.

Speaker 1:

He also breaks it up into topics. So if you're doing video games, they have a section in there that's specific for video games. So it kind of falls into what people might be looking for. Or maybe you're doing advertising or maybe you're doing travel type of music or you're just looking for intros. So they have it grouped in a lot of real interesting ways on the website. So take a look when you get a chance. I really think this is a great tool to use to enliven and enrich some of the marketing material you're using, whether it's a video, a podcast, or maybe you're making a commercial or whatever it is you're doing out there. I think we all, we all can agree that music really adds a nice flavor. If you like what you heard today, please rate review and subscribe to this podcast. If you have a digital marketing tool or tip that maybe you use or even one that you've created, let me know. I'd love to feature it on the show. I'll see you on the new school. Flip side.
